Dispatchers are a vital link between the community and emergency personnel. A dispatcher is the first person that
you speak with when you call the Public Safety Department, and are the ones that send help in the time of an emergency.
Dispatchers
are here to serve and protect just like Officers. One way they do this is by being that listening ear on the other end of
the phone when you are in need of help. Whether someone is breaking into your house, or you have an unwanted person at your
door, dispatchers are trained to know what information to convey to the Officers responding to your emergency and to
give you instructions to keep you safe until help gets there.
